Your Holiday Itinerary

Day One: Join the overnight flight from London Heathrow direct to Shanghai.

Day Two: Arrive in Shanghai and transfer to the 4* Holiday Inn Downtown for a one night stay. After lunch we include a sightseeing tour of Shanghai, featuring the Children’s Palace and the Jade Buddha Temple - the most famous Buddhist temple in Shanghai.

Day Three: This morning we visit the magnificent Yu Yuan Gardens and the futuristic Bund district. After lunch, transfer to the airport for the flight to Guilin. On arrival, transfer to your hotel, the 4* Guilin Bravo Hotel for a one night stay.

Day Four: After breakfast, we cruise the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo to discover China’s most beautiful scenery. The landscape is famed for its numerous Dr. Seussian-like mountains, crystal clear waters and stunning pastoral scenes of rice paddies and water buffaloes. In the afternoon we’ll visit some of the timeless Yangshuo villages. Transfer to the 4* Yangshuo Paradesa Hotel for a one-night stay.

Day Five: This morning, drive to Guilin to visit the Farmers’ Market, the Ancient South Gate and Fubo Hill, which resembles a wave reaching up into the sky and descending down into the river. In the afternoon transfer to Guilin airport for the flight to Xi’an and a two-night stay in the 4* Sheraton Hotel.

Day Six: Today we’ll visit the spellbinding Terracotta Warriors - a 6000 strong army of lifesize soldiers and horses. Other sights you’ll see on this full day tour include the city walls, Wild Goose Pagoda and the Stone Forest.

Day Seven: Morning flight to Peking (Beijing) and transfer to the 4* Capital Hotel for three nights. This afternoon we include a tour of the sublime Temple of Heaven.

Day Eight: A full day tour of the Great Wall at Badaling and the Ming Tombs followed the chance to join our optional Peking Opera excursion in the evening.

Day Nine: Today we include visits to Tian’anmen Square, the 716-acre lakeside Summer Palace and the mystical Forbidden City.

Day Ten: This morning we visit Lama Temple, the biggest Buddhist temple in China, before continuing to Peking Airport for the flight to Shanghai. On arrival transfer to your hotel, the Holiday Inn Downtown, for a one-night stay.

Day Eleven: Transfer to Shanghai Airport for the return flight to the UK.

Please note: lunch and dinner will generally be served in a local Chinese restaurant. European-style buffet breakfast will be served at the hotel. Hotels featured in this itinerary may be subject to change.
