Discover the imperial cities of New and Old Delhi, as well as the pink city of Jaipur, before admiring the exquisite Taj Mahal at sunset. Other highlights include an elephant ride to the Amber Fort and the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri.

Your Holiday Itinerary:

Day 1: Join the overnight flight from London Heathrow direct to Delhi.

Day 2: Morning arrival in Delhi where you will be transferred to your 4* hotel. This afternoon we include a sightseeing tour of New Delhi including Qutab Minar - one of the most perfectly preserved towers in the world, the ruins of Quwat-ul-Eslam Mosque, the Indian Gate war memorial and Parliament House.

Day 3: Today we continue to Nawalgarh where we have reserved accommodation for one night. This afternoon you will be at leisure to explore the local area.

Day 4: From Nawalgarh we will journey to the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri for an en route visit, before continuing to Jaipur for a two night stay. This afternoon we include a tour of Jaipur, the fabulous ‘Pink City’ of Rajasthan, including the beautiful Hawa Mahal, or ‘Palace of the Winds’.

Day 5: This morning we travel to nearby Amber, the ancient Rajput capital, where we will visit to Amber Fort. This former palace of the Rajput rulers sits majestically on a hilltop overlooking a lake, and within its high walls lie magnificent buildings with mosaic walls and shady courtyards. The final part of your journey to the Fort is by elephant. This afternoon is at leisure.

Day 6: Today we will continue to Agra where we include a city tour, before one of the highlights of your holiday – a visit to the Taj Mahal at sunset. We will also visit Agra Fort and Sikandra today.

Day 7: Our optional excursion will enable you to experience the Taj Mahal at sunrise. We will then return to Delhi for a further one-night stay, where we include a city tour of Old Delhi including a rickshaw ride and the Red Fort.

Day 8: Morning departure for the airport for the return flight to London Heathrow.
