Italy’s historic cities and magnificent scenery are world renowned, wonderfully captured on this unforgettable holiday which combines the beauty of the Amalfi Coast and stunning Lake Garda with the legendary cities of Rome and Venice.

Few regions of Italy are more spectacular than the Amalfi Coast and our included drive will enable you to enjoy fabulous views of this magnificent stretch of coastline. This is scenery at its most dramatic and breathtaking with picturesque towns and villages perched on towering cliffs which fall into the Mediterranean Sea. Along the way you will stop at the pretty coastal resort of Amalfi, noted for its pastel-coloured houses, winding streets and charming cafes.

Then there is Venice, the city known as ‘La Serenissima’. Nothing can prepare you for the sight of its unique setting with 117 islands and 400 bridges spanning a maze of narrow canals and you can witness its serene beauty on our full day visit here. Wander the hidden streets lined with magnificent monuments, churches and palaces, notably the marble Doges’ Palace. Soak up the atmosphere in one of the many cafes in St Mark’s Square and walk over the Rialto Bridge which spans the Grand Canal. Not forgetting a gondola ride through the network of canals.

And of course no visit to Italy would be complete without seeing and experiencing its capital, Rome. Throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain to ensure your return, climb the Spanish Steps for a panoramic view of the city skyline and discover the priceless treasures in the Vatican. Step back in time at the Colosseum or just sip an espresso in an outdoor café in the Piazza Navona.

Finally, there’s the opportunity to experience the stunning beauty of Lake Garda, Italy’s largest lake. You cannot fail to be overwhelmed by the lake’s spectacular setting, where the majestic Dolomites to the north give way to the gentler rolling landscape of vineyards, olive groves and citrus trees to the south.
