Pet Travel Scheme Traveling With Pets (Dogs, Cats and Ferrets) By Ferry

Customers Who Wish Travel With Their Pet should please refer to all the information below.

The additional cost per pet will be approximately £15 per pet, per leg depending on route and ferry operator. Other than the additional cost of your pets 'ferry ticket' you will not be charged any additional fee for amending your ticket to include a pet provided this service is able to be performed via an automated system and does not need to be manually processed.

Depending on the ferry operator and route your pet may have to remain in the car for the duration of the crossing with no access by you. Other than registered guide dogs accompanying a visually impaired passenger under no circumstance will your pet be allowed access to any area other than the designated pet area on any ferry.

Please also note that not all ferry operators have the facility to take pets and that if bringing a pet into the UK the pet will have to be part of the Pets Passport Scheme. For more information on the Pet Passport Scheme click here to visit the official Defra web site.
